About me

I am a qualified psychologist and licensed psychological psychotherapist with an entry in the medical register. As a behavioral therapist, I am trained in various therapy methods.

Whether you are struggling through a life or career crisis or want to improve your general well-being, I am committed to helping you build resilience and achieve lasting change together.

My approach involves creating a safe and supportive environment in which you feel understood and valued. Mutual trust and reliability are naturally part of a good therapeutic relationship. With the support of evidence-based methods, I will work with you to develop individual treatment methods that are tailored to your specific needs and goals.

With a focus on adults and seniors, I treat a variety of mental illnesses, for example, depression, anxiety disorders, panic, difficult grief, personality disorders, trauma, family problems, etc.

I am counting self-payers and those with private insurance, GOP, assistance, professional associations, reimbursement of costs (§ 13 SGB V), free medical care (German armed forces, police).

Behavior:

Human reaction to stimuli and impulses from the environment. Behavior is systematically learned through appropriate learning processes (e.g. running, cycling, etc.). Constantly repeated behavior can lead to positive or negative changes in the human cognitive and mental schemata (model).

Behavior can suffer from negative social influences (kindergarten, school, work), physical illnesses/disabilities and family conditions, among others, and can become dysfunctional, which can lead to a reduction in quality of life.

In behavior therapy, the focus is on the symptoms of a disorder, not on its origin. Disorder (illness) and symptom (sign of the illness) are considered the same and are explained as a non-learned (or incorrectly) learned reaction (behavioral excess or deficit) that is no longer appropriate to the current environmental requirements under cultural influence.

The therapeutic goal of behavior therapy is to reduce or eliminate symptoms, which leads to the elimination of the dysfunctional incorrect reaction and the development and stabilization of new reactions through the repetition of newly learned behavior. Behavioral therapy not only deals with observable behavior, but also with internal experience processes.
